An MoU between LEADS and the Chief Secretary of Northern Provincial Council was signed on 27th November 2015 as a result of continued efforts towards establishing of a Children’s Respite Home in the North.

Kuilaham or ‘nest’ will act as a safe haven that provides temporary residential care for survivors of child abuse. It will serve as the regional counselling center for northern region offering a broad range of social support services for children and their families. The center is expected to be operational by early February 2016.
