The current monsoon conditions with sever rains are threatening to overflow some of the rivers. This poses a threat of flooding to our residential therapeutic center for children. We have been advised to evacuate the children as a precautionary measure, Please pray for the children and staff as we prepare to respond to this situation.

On 8th of March nine women celebrated hopeful futures in an exhibition that showcased their creations. They were very proud of their achievements and only had words of appreciation for the project that gave them the courage to challenge the odds – wings to fly. “Through the village society I have achieved much. I am in a better position today because everybody encouraged and supported me. I am extremely grateful to all those who helped me” said Sujeewa a women member of the village society.

A team from ESCAPE - the child protection wing of LEADS conducted a series of sessions for students of Methodist College, Colombo on 6th April 2016. Children ranging from ages 6-18 years participated for this program.
