LEADS believes that every child should have access to a bright future. 
This is why we are committed to providing restorative care and holistic support for survivors of child abuse through our specialised team of mental health practitioners. LEADS is one of the only local organisations that provide residential and non-residential therapeutic care, legal aid and reintegration support free of charge for all survivors of child abuse who seek our help.
The Child Sponsorship programme of LEADS started in June 2021, in order to raise support for almost 220 vulnerable children who are brave survivors of child abuse and are receiving psycho-social support annually at LEADS’ Respite Therapeutic Centres in the Northern, Western and Uva provinces of Sri Lanka. Â
The children who are receiving psycho-social support arrive at the centres encountering a traumatic experience, whereas there are mild, moderate and severe stages. However, each of them has a unique story and they come with the hope to restart and build their future. The financial aid and the emotional support provided by the donors will enable LEADS to create a safer space for the child. Â
The precious contribution of a Donor ensures a child in our centres receives Therapy and Counselling, Family Strengthening Support, Legal Support and also Logistical needs.
